Mudgee Hay Company was created by Jason Althofer and Deon Moore in 2016. Jason and Deon saw a hole in the market of high-quality hay production in the Central West and commenced developing a business that met this need.

Through demonstrated excellence, drive and determination Mudgee Hay Company has grown. We’ve worked hard, re-invested wisely and combined our ambition to be an industry leading seed to feed fodder producer.

We’ve proven our commitment and professionalism to our existing customers and our methods have been successful, allowing us to forge ahead into new markets and expand our business enterprise.

We are now part of the new generation of hay farmers in Mudgee enjoying the flexibility and lifestyle farming brings to our families.

We still refer to traditional haymaking practices to achieve quality produce and we embrace the latest advancements and innovations in machinery and equipment the world has to offer. Our ever-changing climate reminds us we need to respect our land and environment for not only our livelihoods but for the continuing benefit of future generations.
